Jackie Armijo obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Arizona in 1980, She was employed in the Carondelet health system from 1980 until 2003. During her tenure as a registered nurse at St. Mary’s and St. Joseph’s Hospitals in Tucson, she gained experience in cardiopulmonary, burn and wound care, intensive care and post-anesthesia care units. She was a member of the Flying Samaritans, a volunteer group of health professionals who rendered medical and dental care to residents of El Rosario, Mexico. She currently serves as a children’s leader in Bible Study Fellowship.
Jackie acquired her Master of Science in Nursing degree and Certified Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Phoenix in 2003. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Her FNP experience includes internal medicine, and hospice, but her main interest has been gastroenterology and hepatology since 2003. She relocated from Tucson to Henderson NV in 2014 to continue in gastroenterology. She treats conditions of irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis disease, hepatitis, cirrhosis, fatty liver disease, pancreatitis, Barrett’s esophagus and gastroesophageal reflux disease.
