Dr. Muthena Maklad is dedicated to providing excellent digestive care to Nevadas. Dr. Muthena completed his internal medicine training at the University of Nevada Reno School of Medicine and served as the Chief Resident. Subsequently, he completed his gastroenterology fellowship training at UNLV and served as gastroenterology faculty at UNLV after completion of fellowship training.
Dr. Maklad enjoys practicing all aspects of general gastroenterology and has particular clinical interests in esophageal diseases (including GERD, Barrett’s esophagus, eosinophilic esophagitis, and motility disorders) and colon cancer prevention. He is trained in diagnostic and therapeutic ERCP. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
